This illustration is based on Heidi story, a young adult novel by Johanna Spyri. I like how this illustration turns out. Apart from drawing beautiful scenery, this illustration also show the beauty of their friendship and how Heidi really treasure Klara, her friend who has a disability.
This was one of my favorite books back then when I was a junior high school. This books made me want to be Heidi and live in the alps, though untill now I still want to go there. Back then, I can imagine what Heidi's place was look like, without having to look up what the Alps look like on the internet, I can imagine how beautiful the place is just by reading paragraph by paragraph written by Johanna Spyri.
